Maria Sampaio owns and operates Studio M Photographic, a 6,300 square foot boutique studio. The studio is located in the Canonsburg area, just 20 minutes south of the city of Pittsburgh. Maria’s passion for art started later in life when she became a mother. Although she has a degree from Penn State in Mathematical Sciences, Maria decided to leave her job in pursuit of happiness in the arts.

In 2007 she opened her heart and her studio doors, providing only the finest for her clients. She consistently redesigns her product line to offer new and fresh art – always looking to create one of a kind art pieces when given the opportunity.  She uses both natural light and flash and loves to incorporate graphic and image design into her art.

Maria not only photographs, but also teaches classes and workshops all over the country and has given programs for prestigious organizations. She is a Certified Professional Photographer (CCP), a title that is held by less than 3% of all photographers in the nation. Being a CPP is a mark of excellence recognized by the Professional Photographic Certification Commission. Maria is also a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and also serves as a member in many other local organizations. In 2013, Maria was awarded her Craftsman Degree and was named Photographer of the Year by GPPDV.  Maria has won many local, state and national merits for her images, some of which can be viewed on her website.  She has studied and mastered the art of capturing and preserving moments for you and your loved ones to enjoy forever.
