What is the Photography Collective? Launching February 2020
I play no favorites. I have one criteria:
Are you making money in photography? Are you a passionate, successful renegade in your photography business?
Have your struggled and climbed from the pits of despair and created a system with marketing photography that actually works. (Not some puff speak nonsense that sounds good. But actually works.)
It helps if you love what you do while making your money. It helps if your work is world class.
I can state unequivocally that this group meets and far exceeds this criteria.
It’s a collection of hand picked, by me, photographers that work, play, prosper and succeed in a legitimate photography business, often in smaller cities or areas, where they’ve created a series of successful business building strategies.

Onwards… I give you The Photography Collective:
Rob Provencher
Of course, there’s me. Your truly. I run, with my wife, a full time portrait studio in a small blue collar mining town that I love to call home. We still, to this day, make a cozy six figure income in an area, where like in many towns and cities, studios have closed their doors for good. Not us. And it ain’t bragging if you can do it (as they say in Texas.) Plus, we live in Costa Rica part-time in the winter.
James Hodgins
James Hodgins is co-founder of NoBs PhotoSuccess Incâ„¢. He’s created a successful long running business specializing in mining and industrial photography. His busy schedule takes him all over the world and he’s a true master of lighting and creating stunning images in challenging conditions.
Dan Morency
Dan runs a full time photography business in a the small town of Cornwall, ONT. He moved his studio into an old bank and uses every square foot creating family, glamour, commercial and wedding images.
Nancy Tilberg
Nancy runs a full time photography studio in ThunderBay, Ontario. She’s markets her multifaceted and profitable photography business in dance schools, weddings, portraits and many, many creative promotions including her successful Model Program
She’s also on the roster with Imaging USA 2020 as one of the key speakers.
Warne Noyce
Warne is a total badass. When he moved to a new town in northern Saskachewan, where no one knew him and where they said he’ll never succeed in the High School senior market, his passion, business savvy and partner/wife Paula, proved them all wrong.
Judy Cormier
Judy has a long standing history of shooting weddings and boudoir photography. She recently closed that business down to pursue her full time photoshop workflow business where she’s working full time editing and working on files for professional photographers.
Maggie Habieda
Maggie’s story of starting and running her photography studio in Oakville, ONT is one of true grit, adversity, struggle, overcoming and eventual total success. She’s often said: “I went to the moon with a shovel…” and figured out a system for success that consisted of networking and promotions.
Maria Sampaio
Maria Sampaio packed up her bags after many years of running a studio in Pittsburg. She had enough of the cold and yearned for warmer climes. South Carolina is where she now calls home and when she moved there this year (yes, this year!) she hit the ground running using her off-the-charts selling skills and entrepreneurial drive to start the ball rolling.
Danny& Dianne Rabalais
When Danny retired five years ago after a long running career as a police officer, and all the while running a full time photography studio in Northern California along with his wife Dianne, he HIT the ground running. Their business blossomed under their combined ambitions and passion for success. At peak season they has well over 22 employees helping their busy studio work through the many teams, proms, high schools they acquired through a solid reputation, passion and hard work.
John Ratchford
When asked how he markets in an area with unemployment rates are high as 49%, John replies: “I focus on the 51%.”. John is a true maverick and creator of some of the coolest promotions in the photographic industry such as his famous Ratchfords Next Top Model
John Butler
John is a portrait photographer located in Pembroke, ON and services all of the Ottawa Valley. Along with his wife Colleen, They run a successful Portrait studio along with shooting for multiple Dance Schools, local sports associations and graduation photos for the local campus of Algonquin College.
My theory for success is simple. I can learn on my own. Or learn from those who’ve been there. I also know that the only way to success is by using marketing and success strategies that make sense. Not always easy. Always challenging. If it was any other way everyone would be doing it.
Success and prosperity is reserved for the daring, the bold and the passionate.
