Here we are, at The DragonFly restaurant in Tamarindo, Costa Rica….
Not much time to shoot since it’s late afternoon, the staff is running around getting ready to open for the supper crowd.
One reflector, one wife, a Sony A7R and Batis 85MM 1.8 lens shot at 1.8:
The scene more or less from where the camera will be placed. Notice the small sparkle lights wrapped around the menu board. The drink is positioned very close to the camera. The light source being modified with the reflector:
Here’s the light source, open sky coming in from the side. Overhead roof creates a canopy light:
Final shots…..these samples are straight off the camera.
This is one example of the variety and diverse stuff I shoot.
My favorite sessions involve people, families, kids, weddings….but when asked and when the opportunity shows up, I love taking on these challenges.
Every month I run a lighting mastermind presentation as part of noBs photo success inner circle members forum. I also run a marketing mastermind as well. Most of the time I am the presenter where I talk and share ideas, tactics and strategies based on real photo shoots and real photography marketing. Occasionally I bring in a special guest who has a unique take and insight in order to spice things up.
