I’m not sure I should be doing this. But do it I must.
The emperor has no clothes. There, I said it. Let me explain.
Would you follow a guide up a mountain, say, Kilimanjaro, or similar….maybe Everest….who has not actually been up the mountain?
Or maybe they went up the mountain, but it’s been over twenty years since they actually climbed it.
They have older maps and a rough idea as to how to get up it. Pick a mountain.
Pick a guru, or guide…. and cross your fingers.
Me? I’d rather find someone who was up the mountain last week, or maybe yesterday. Someone who knows the way up in detail.
Many gurus in marketing and growing a photography business drone on and on. Their puff speak and rhetoric is just that….vapious, hollow and academic. At best….
I like to follow a guru who’s clothing is dirty, worn, ripped and sweat stained. Because they climbed, and climbed hard.
They know the way. I always felt I had an advantage because I am in the trenches, running my own studio, day to day, struggling, climbing and growing.
I could easily say the same for someone like Maggie Habieda. She is a dynamo among dynamos.
But more importantly, she runs her studio, and very successfully at that, and knows the way up!
Let me repeat that one key point. She knows the way up.
Maggie and I are teaming up on June 2, 2019, at her studio, for a limited engagement for those willing to come and learn.
This is a one day event. If you want to grow your photography business from two photographers climbing the climb, join us.
