When my daughter was five years old she asked me: “Dad, is there a God that made God?”
I was speechless. “Where do you think up these questions?” I asked her, astounded. “I don’t know, I was just thinking about it.”
I told her: “Well, I don’t really know the answer, but this much I can say, you know how to create theories based on your curiosity.”
When she was older I would bring this up, and poke fun at how much she was like her dad. (I’ve been accused of being overly analytical at times.)
And I am. I can’t help it. I need to understand how and why things are the way they are. Sue me.
Two months ago I was beaten down. Gut punched. The situation we’re in knocked me to the mat. (After talking with many others it turns out I’m not the only one.)
I got up, started fighting again, and it’s way better now.
I’ve reconciled the pain, stress and limits we find ourselves in. The best part is business has been good. Who’d a thunk.
I thought for a while we were doomed. And it’s not like me to lose hope, being the eternal optimist never wanting to take a position of whining, blaming, complaining or playing victim.
Two weeks ago we had a fairy day, mid summer no less. Not a great time for these, but we had block buster event and sales were brisk. Our coffers swelleth over.
Family portraits are also on our radar. And again, sales are brisk.
A few weeks ago I had a lighting mastermind which was a hit. As usual, we shared strategies on lighting based on real sessions from real clients paying us real money.

Back in July we hosted a Marketing Mastermind with guest host John Butler.
Here’s a strange thing that happened to us. In the last 60 days we’ve received $550. from three clients in TIPS. Yes, free money. I have no explanation, only wild hunches and guesses.
That one I can put in the same category as Is there a God that made God?
Stay tuned. More to come…..
