There are two activities in photography that I love participating in. ONE, image critiques.
I’ve participated in print competitions many times in my life and I seem to have a natural skill in delivering useful, practical and technical strategies to photographers on their images.
You can get your images critiqued, by me, when you’re a member of my forum NoBs Photo Success.
And I am never, ever gratuitously hurtful. My coaching is designed to help. But you gotta be courageous and open minded.
The other activity I love playing in is taking photographs of people, on the fly, in random, often challenging locations.
I created two recent presentations on lighting based on finding random spots. On the first one, I used the 55 1.8 Sony lens. (This lens is one of the sharpest and most versatile ‘nifty fifties’ I’ve ever used….bar none….)
In the second presentation we headed downtown, and used only the 135mm 2.8 Batis lens. Another ‘favorite’.
Meantime, in the forum, Marian posted some images and I offered to critique them, and do some workflow.
From that I created a 20 minute critique video HERE.
Enjoy. Meantime, I am in SS Marie, about to photograph 41 fairy sessions over the next three days. More on that event coming your way soon.
BELOW: Here I am with Anna, at her studio in SS Marie, where we’ve been doing fairy sessions (going on six years now, and sharing the profits)…ready to roll and have some amazing magical fun. More to come….
