It’s been said that Dan Kennedy consulted with the Wendy’s hamburger chain back in the day.
You know, Wendy’s of “where’s the beef?” fame.
Dan knew one of the best marketing opportunities was right in front of their eyes. And this is a strategy that ANYONE, IN ANY INDUSTRY can use.
Dave Thomas, the Wendy’s founder, was not one to get in front of the cameras. But Dan insisted on this and it became one of the most memorable marketing moments in an industry that is plagued with “just another hamburger joint” and becoming a simple commodity.
When you use personality and stories you add authenticity and power to your marketing message.
In our recent NoBs Photo buzz livestream Johnny B and yours truly discussed mainly lighting strategies. But I couldn’t leave the presentation without digging into this story.
There’s always time for marketing. At the start of this presentation John showed us one of the coolest marketing strategies he uses in his studio. HINT: It involves wine.
