A Place to Grow
We had some interesting discussions last night during the Lighting Mastermind with Hark.
I made some revealing confessions which made him feel good. And talked about my flaws and short comings. But how, in the end, the only metric that really matters and should matter is how happy mny clients are and if I am making money.

All my demons and neurosis made me who I am. It’s a long list. But one I was willing to tackle and in short order change things around.
When I stew in self-doubt and shame, I quickly realize I wouldn’t have had it any other way. My experiences were one of a kind and all mine. What’s important is my attitude TODAY and my actions TODAY.
Strangest thing happened to us this year. On three occasions our studio received tips from three clients totaling over $500.00
All three from weddings and family portraits.
Sure, we’re had tips before, but they’re rare. Three within three weeks?
Maybe the lockdown had something to do with it? Maybe people feel for us? Maybe they have more money than usual?
Who knows. This much I do know: helping out others, our community, donating and volunteering time is good for the soul and good for business.
For decades we’ve donated our time to local theater, music, fundraisers, events and anything we deem worthy.
Maria Sampaio also believes in helping out in causes she believes in.
What I suggest you do is help her out. She’s almost reached her goal and could use a little extra push.
We have so much to be grateful for. When business is good, clients are calling, and generous souls like Maria do their part to help not only other photographers, but causes like this one, we share the prosperity and gratitude and make things a little bit better.
Offer what you can. Maria and struggling soldiers appreciate it.
