I love me some history. It’s one of my favorite topics for good reading, movies, podcasts and documentaries.
They say history repeats itself. I wonder why, if true (most likely is)?
When the Mongols have your castle surrounded, what do you do? (For fun, let’s use the Mongols as metaphor.)
EXAMPLE: Everyone is a photographer. Photography as a business model has almost dried up. Cell phones have replaced professional photography. They are EVERYWHERE. You are completely surrounded.

I love a good story of pain and struggle. You know, when everything seems lost, hopeless and doomed.
You see this in many, many movies. Problem is, in movies, you need this so they can tie it all together for the big climatic moment. “And they lived happily ever after….”

Metamorphosis is the word that comes to mind. John attended an 8 day silent retreat to meditate on his situation brought about by some bad financial decisions, debt and whether to ‘throw in the towel’ with his photography business.
The answer came to him. Stay in the biz. I personally have had similar events in my life, just not as intense as John’s.
