“Hi! I just joined and want to be sure I understand that photosuccess.com is becoming The Collective? and I am supposed to join there but all of the old material on photosuccess will stay there?”
“Actually, it’s not becoming The Collective….not at all. The Collective is simply a new addition, a series, so to speak. Added onto and accessible in the forum. Everything else stays. Rob”
She asks another: “Got it! So will it cost extra?”

A young budding photographer asked me about all the forums, photography coaching programs and facebook groups out there.
And he asked about mine. Why should mine matter in a sea of intense competition, and in a changing industry.

Chances are, you’ve heard about studios and photographers struggling to stay alive.
Many aren’t even getting paid. As if shooting and giving away your photography services is enough. No return. No profits. Just a blast of dopamine from the ooohhs and aaaahhhhsss…
But here’s what you haven’t heard:The money isn’t disappearing. It’s just shifting into a new kind of photography gig.

I’ve known John a long time. He’s been a member of NoBs Photo Success as long. He’s attended many of my live marketing events.
He, and his wife are go-getters. My kind of people. The struggles, the successes, the experiences and ideas…all genuine and real.
John offered to run a Frontline, you know, share his story, expertise, wisdom and business savvy with us.
I chatted with John for a bit yesterday. I asked if he and his wife run their studios full time. You know, not one with a great career, the other playing photographer.
And yes, they do. In a small town no less. My kind of people.

I’ve been scarred for life.
See, when I was fifteen or sixteen yrs old, we were poor. Very poor.
Actually, we had always been poor. But at that time we were even poorer. My dad lost his business, declared bankruptcy (his second one) and kinda abandoned us for a while.
